A source who requested anonymity confirms earlier reports of a meeting allegedly between Mrs. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and her friend, former Porac Mayor Lilia Pineda which happened in one of the visits of Arroyo in Pampanga.
According to the source, the meeting reportedly was called by Pineda. And the agenda?
Small Town Lottery (STL). Pineda has asked Mrs. Arroyo for “blessing” in expanding their gambling territory not just in Central Luzon but throughout the country. Pineda said that the request came from her husband. It was unclear if Pineda’s request was granted by Mrs. Arroyo.
Don’t get me wrong—STL is not illegal per se. In fact, the PAGCOR grants permits to companies and individuals interested in operating STL.
