In an Islamic world, Muslims do not kill Muslims. If at all, they kill based on the teachings of Islam. Killing is condemned and only allowed during times of war, or violations of rights. Killing by self-defense is allowed, just like in Christian states.
When a Muslim kills scores of innocents, he does it against the whole of humanity. One singular act of murder harms the entire Ummah (Muslim community and the Universe).
That is why it is totally inconceivable to still describe the acts of Ampatuan, the mastermind behind the brutal slaying of 62 innocent people, as an act done by a Muslim.
When one enslaves his people and terrorizes them. When one kills his fellow man over a measly thing called “politics”, these are not acts by a pious Slave of Allah SWT.
These acts can only be of a brute, an animal who do not worship or even know God.
And brutes simply do not know how to read. That’s why words are useless to them. Words cannot change a heart of stone. Brutish men only know one simple language, and that is the language of brutality, of violence.
Dealing with brutish men necessitates the use of the language they know. You cannot communicate with them by going to them and preaching peace, like Gandhi. The only peace they know is the peace brought by death. You tell brutes to reform by bringing the fear of death to them.
To those whose ways is the way of violence, I tell them this—those who live by the barrel of gun dies by the same bullets exiting from it.
