Andal Ampatuan Jr.---mass murderer

Mass murder suspect Andal Ampatuan Jr is like a wild animal caged inside the premises of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). And the Philippine National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) knows that.

That’s why the agency has put its entire force under a state of alert. NBI chief Nestor Mantaring said all NBI agents have been briefed and he has ordered armed men to guard the mass murder suspect.

Andal has been detained at the NBI after preliminary inquest proceedings were undertaken in General Santos. Ampatuan, the 40 year old son of Maguindanao Governor Andal Ampatuan Sr., is accused of masterminding this century’s most gruesome massacre which killed 57 people so far.

National Capital Region (NCR) chief Roberto Rosales also ordered Manila Police District Chief, Chief Supt. Rodolfo Magtibay to provide the NBI additional security. A SWAT team was deployed within and around the NBI vicinity to prevent enemies of Ampatuan from harming him.

Andal Ampatuan attracts not just attention but derision. The Ampatuans have many enemies. And with this, the warlord clan has, for its enemies, even their former close associates.

The Ampatuan knows many secrets. And they know for sure that the younger Andal’s life is at risk.
