Ping Lacson
Its just a few months before Mrs. Arroyo says adieu, yet, her bootlickers, says Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson is still on the vendetta and a warpath. Lacson and several other police officials were charged with kidnapping and serious illegal detention for an alleged crime that happened eight years ago. For Lacson, this is plain and simple harassment.
Why is Ping being harassed at this point?
First, Ping’s political star is waning. He is serving his last few months as a Senator. There is still no word as to his future political plans, despite insinuations and rumours that he is being considered as Chiz Escudero’s running mate.
With a weakening political stock, surely, his enemies would try to pin him down so that he’ll never recover. Ping knows this for a fact. That’s why the timing is really suspicious.
Besides, the case has been mouthballed and archived for several years now. Those 25 or so witnesses, where are they? Mary Ong, sources say, is now in the United States after reportedly getting a huge sum of money from First Gentleman Mike Arroyo (just to keep her mouth shut at the alleged jueteng operations of the Arroyos in the Subic-Clark bases). Others have either died or have been silenced.
Will this case stick? I doubt it.
