Oil prices spiked by 1 peso in Philippines

Just last midnight, pump prices of gasoline and diesel rose by one peso. Small players like Seaoil and Eastern Petroleum first raised their prices and we expect others to follow suit.

Again, these oil companies say they raised their prices due to rising prices in the global commodities market. This will surely have a spill over effect on the prices of goods and services.

And, again, the Department of Energy remains unresponsive to the public clamor for social justice over the exorbitant price of oil.
