An official of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) on Tuesday criticized Presidential Communications Operations Office Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson for wearing skin-revealing shorts and tiny piece of upper garments inside a mosque with her boots on.
Zia Alonto Adiong, who represents Lanao del Sur’s first district in the ARMM Regional Assembly, said Uson was with President Rodrigo Duterte when the President visited the Grand Islamic Mosque in war-torn Marawi City on Monday.
“That’s where Usec. (sic) Uson was taking selfie wearing tiny piece of garments with her boots on,” he said.
Aside from wearing daring clothes, Uson was also reportedly not wearing a hijab.
Showing a picture of his son and nephew at the mosque during last year’s Eid Fitr congressional prayer, Adiong said: “Notice how we teach our kids to leave their slippers and not to bring them inside the holy ground.”
“We should avoid actions that may offend our Muslim brothers and sisters,” added Adiong, who also acts as the spokesman of the provincial peace and order council.
Adiong advised Uson, a controversial blogger and staunch Duterte supporter, to “hire an etiquette manager, if there’s any.”

Duterte visited the Grand Islamic Mosque last Monday, days after it was recovered by government troops from members of the ISIS-inspired Maute group that attacked the city in late May.
