Msgr. Arnel Lagarejos, the 55-year-old priest who was arrested while taking a 13-year-old girl to a motel, is said to have been impregnated at least three Catholic young nuns, a former Taytay, Rizal sexton told local radio station on Monday.
Eric Marajas worked as sexton under Lagarejos for seven years, and was also tasked to deliver financial aid to Lagarejos children until he got married on July 2015 and left his church duties.
Marajas said that Lagarejos has have four children in three different women, all of whom are nuns.
“Yong unang dalawa mga bata pa. Na-assign dito nong around 2013 parehong kinse anyos, pareho din niyang nabuntis. Yong last nasa 17 years old, dalawa naging anak nila. Naging assistant din dito”, Marajas said referring to the young nuns whom Lagarejos had children.
The former church worker said he had no idea about the whereabouts of the children, but hinted that the first two nuns are still inside a monastery and accepting Lagarejos’ financial assistant.
“I delivered each of them P5,00 every week from 2013 until I left the church on 2015. Sometimes, one of them visited him (Lagarejos) in his residence”, Marajas added.

Lagarejos was released on Tuesday afternoon after he posted a P120,000 bail which was recommended by Marikina City Prosecutor Ricardo Paet Jr.
Lagarejos, parish priest of the Parish of St. John the Baptist in Taytay, Rizal , was accused of violating the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act.
He underwent inquest proceedings on Saturday afternoon, July 28, following his arrest around 6:30 p.m. near Blue Wave Mall on Sumulong Highway in Barangay Sto. Niño in Marikina.
Lagarejos, who is under the Diocese of Antipolo, has been relieved of all his duties in the parish and the Cainta Catholic College (CCC), where he was president. /Joy Valle/
