The National Housing Authority (NHA) said on Wednesday that they are investigating reports that some militant leaders from Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (BAYAN), BAYAN Muna, Gabriela, and others, owns several units in Pandi housing and offered it for rent.
At least 64 government housing units are owned by at least three militant leaders are listed under dummy names according to the agency.
NHA estimated that the three leaders (whose names are on hold for further verification) are earning at least P160,000 every month income from rent.

A resident on one of the units said that they are paying a rent of P2,500 every month because they cannot afford to pay P60,000 for the rights.
It was reported earlier that several militant leaders have also made huge amount of money buying and selling rights of government houses.
The Pandi Housing project in Bulacan was illegally occupied by members of urban militant group KADAMAY earlier this year, but President Duterte allowed them to live there with some conditions.
Massive buying and selling of housing rights have been reported since then.
NHA spokesman Gerardo Banaag said that they will send inspectors on site to verify the report.
BAYAN’s Secretary General Renato Reyes and Liza Masa was rumored earlier to be among the militant leaders who owns the units, but NHA said they have yet to receive the verified result. /Santi Balverde/
