Manny Pacquiao TKO-ed at the MMF tills–punishment for illicit affairs?

Posted by Ricky Rivera On December - 30 - 2009
They say a woman is always a man's downfall?

They say a woman is always a man's downfall?

Manny Pacquiao’s movie “Swapakman” bombed at the tills. It was a crushing, humiliating and blasting TKO to the Pinoy boxer-turned-kenkoy hero-turned politico. Is this a sign that the Filipino public have grown extremely tired of the celebrate antics of the world’s pound-for-pound boxer and want nothing of him?

Or, this is a public flogging, so to speak, a punishment against Manny Pacquiao for that celebrated tryst with Krista Ranillo?

Many say, yes, of course. We are a Matriarchal society. We do not tolerate philanderers, much lest habitual offenders. Before Krista, Manny had a liaison with a waitress. His so-called “relationship” with Ara Mina also hugged national headlines.

The thing about this is simply, whether Manny has the right to get involved with a single lady while he’s very much married. In conventional societies such as ours, of course that’s repulsive. We’re not a Muslim society. Muslims, you know, they can marry for at least four times.

And the thing about Pacquiao is, he’s showing his religiosity in public, praying after a victory and kissing a cross before and after his fights, a sign that he’s a sagrado katoliko. Many Catholics resent these pakitang tao antics, trying to show people that he’s religious when he’s doing all these things behind his wife’s back?

Krista Ranillo is vacationing in the States, still hurting from all the hoopla Yet, we all judge Manny Pacquiao for his frailties and never see why people so hate him for that relationship when other public personalities do have illicit affairs and finance their own sets of paramours.

Look at Manny’s friend, Governor Chavit Singson. Everyone knows that he has his own harem there in Ilocos.

How about Tonyboy Cojuangco and Gretchen Barretto? Everyone knows that Tonyboy’s previous marriage is still legal and has not been annulled. Yet, a few people criticized Gretchen. Tonyboy got away scot-free from that. They even have a daughter who they show in public, oblivious of whispers and those hurtful remarks.

I mean, are we being two-faced and peke here?

The First Gentleman was reported to have his own paramour(s)—a flight stewardess and of course, his own secretary. Sino ba Toh? Everyones kabit to anyone and for those who feel that being kabit is not good, ask some people and they’ll agree with you. But, if they have billions like Pacquiao, they’ll probably spend it all for, say, Valerie Concepcion, or Ann Curtis or as sexy as Diana Zubiri?

Michelle Madrigal--Pacquiao's next conquest?

Michelle Madrigal--Pacquiao's next conquest?

Twenty year old Michelle Madrigal, the lovely sister of Ehra Madrigal, is reportedly the “new Flavor of the Month” of boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao. After that tumultuous episode when the Pacman had a brief tryst with Krista Ranillo, talks are surfacing that the Pacman reportedly asked his close-in if the young sister of Ehra is ” game”.

I think someone should finally tell the Pacman to piss off. It seems that Pacquiao thinks that all celebrity stars are high-class prostitutes or with loose morals. Why ask if Michelle is “game”? Pacquiao probably thinks that everyone in the showbiz world is for sale or these people will coo with him because he’s now rich and famous?

If I meet Pacquiao in a corner, I’ll surely knock him out. Time to teach this braggart and brat a serious lesson.

Showbiz people should shun this braggart. Those who still have self-respect should avoid Manny Pacquiao. It seems that this once poor and destitute boy turned millionaire due to boxing is taunting the showbiz world, acting like he owns the world and everyone should kow-tow to him because he’s rich.

Krista Ranillo denies Manny Pacquiao episode

Krista Ranillo denies relationship with Manny Pacquiao

Krista Ranillo denies relationship with Manny Pacquiao

Now that the controversial Krista Ranillo is in town and both the star and superstar boxer Manny Pacquiao denied rumours of a relationship, then, all is well, according to Jinky Pacquiao, wife of the boxer.

Seems like all those rumours allegedly about the Manny-Krista trysts are all, well, baseless.

Look at Krista. She’s not pregnant, contrary to what some  showbiz insiders thought.

She looked pretty slim and sexy now, with no traces of a bulging stomach or what.

Seems that everything’s just to promote their up-coming movie.

Manny Pacquiao is also set to fight Floyd Mayweather in March of next year. That would surely be a thing to watch out for.

According to the October survey of Pulse Asia, endorsements made by third parties will not affect the chances of an electoral bet. Endorsements will just, at most, affect the choice of just 11 percent of the electorate.

In fact, third party endorsement may even affect the political chances of the candidate.

Based on the survey by Pulse Asia, Kris Aquino attracts 45% of voters, higher than what Willie Revillame can do at 37%.

Yet, this high rating as far as endorsements are concerned is not translate-able to votes. If Kris Aquino endorses someone, 49% of voters will not follow her lead, while 58% of voters will not be swayed by a Revillame endorsement.

kris_aquino2Now, some say that if you’re endorsed by Manny Pacquiao, you’ll surely win? That’s not the case. In fact, a Pacquiao endorsement would even harm your chances of winning.

Pulse Asia learned that 71% of the electorate will not follow Pacquiao’s endorsement–only 21% will.

What if Mrs. Arroyo endorses you? Is it true that Arroyo’s endorsement is a “kiss of death“?

Yes. If you’re endorsed by Mrs. Arroyo, you’ll surely earn the ire of 79% of the electorate and ONLY 15% will follow your lead.

What about the so-called “Erap Magic”? Is it still there?

Based on the survey, Erap’s magic is now a myth.

If Erap endorses you, you’ll alienate 59% of the electorate.

Top 10 Filipinos

Posted by pinoyobserver On November - 21 - 2009

Who do you think best represents the best of the best Pinoy around? Well, here’s my Top 10.

1. Illegitimate leader Gloria Macapagal Arroyo–She’s my number 1 Top 10 Pinoy. Because of her, we have 10 million Filipinos slaving themselves abroad, while she and her minions feast upon billions of hard-earned monies which these Pinoys sent. She’s also credited for being the most unpopular and the most corrupt president we ever had. She  created deep divisions among us so that we can’t unite and oust her. And she instigated the worst on us that now, we can accept even worse situations because we have accepted that we are in deep shit anyway and it will not matter if we go even deeper into shit.

2. Former detainee Joseph Erap Estrada–Because of him, hundreds of artists now see themselves as potential leaders of this country. Thousands more go the showbiz route after abandoning their studies. Why complete college when you can’t get a job? And when you do get one, its not enough to feed you. But, if you’re a popular artist with political clout, chances are, you’ll never get jailed. Or if you do get a decision to go to jail, you’ll stay in a mansion and after six years, you’ll get pardoned. What’s so good about is, you’ll get to run again after being deposed.

3. Former president Fidel V. Ramos–He’s a nice guy. But the Constitution barred him from continuing to be a nice guy. Forget about PIA-AMARI. Forget about the centennial celebrations. Forget about those hundreds of millions of corrupt power deals. The nice things should be remembered, not the bad ones. Overall, the Ramos administration gave us that long peace and stability that we all want.

4.  JocJoc Bolante–He reminds us that if you’re crafty enough, you play your cards right and you get close to the power-that-be (mean: First Gentleman), you’ll earn your stripes and your billions.

5. First Gentleman Jose Miguel Arroyo–The archangel’s name is Michael. And I know many people bearing that name who’s good and nice and not corrupt. FG redefined the name. As in nature, there’s always an antithesis. There’s always, always false angels.

6. Boxer Manny Pacquiao–He made movies that suck. He reminds us that if you get your millions, you need to waste it with a liaison with actresses and fighting cocks. You’ll survive every shit they throw at you because you have rich friends around who’ll give you a hole in Manila, tax-free, and you’ll get around almost everything. Hey, you’ve rubbed shoulders with the president, yes?

7. TV Host Willie Revillame–He’s a nice guy who lies. What’s good about it, he does it everyday on national television, with children around. He peddles cheap tricks in a cheap show, reminding us that there’ll never be a worst show that his.

8. Former COMELEC chair Ben Abalos–Abalos got away with US$ 50 million. Last word, he’s now golfing almost everyday in Wack-Wack, with two different caddies in tow. Expecting another gullible foreign investor to get millions? Well, probably. The lesson we got from him is this–you’ll be spared the rod, if you’re dancing with the powers-that-be and if you know many secrets which these powers-that-be are willing to give you millions more just to keep you in retirement with your mouth shut.

9. Speaker Jose De Venecia–He’s the most gullible person I have ever seen. He does’nt know if he’s being bullshitted because he’s been used to bullshitting others himself. In fact, he has perfected the science of bullshitting.

10. AFP Chief of Staff Esperon–Poor guy. He just want to be a professional soldier but ended up as a professional ass licker. He’s Arroyo’s Presidential Staff Chief  but I sensed that Arroyo wants him to lick her ass a little bit longer. So, come hell or high water, he’ll be around to swat those little insects he call destabilizers. Hey, he needs to spend for the wife, right? He has’nt collected his due as yet.So, leave your comments if you agree on all I wrote here. Visit my other blog, newphilrevolution.blogspot.com. See you later.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. wants Manny Pacquiao

Posted by Ricky Rivera On November - 20 - 2009
Will Floyd beat the Pacman?

Will Floyd beat the Pacman?

Floyd Mayweather Jr. thinks that he can defeat Manny Pacquiao anytime, anywhere.   ” He has been beaten thrice before,” says the former pound-for-pound boxer in the world about the Pacman.” …and I’m not.”

“Can Pacquiao beat me? Absolutely not.” brags Mayweather Jr.

Mayweather Jr. who just defeated Juan Manuel Marquez, says that he’s stronger and better than the seven-time world champion Manny Pacquiao. Known as an expert defensive fighter, Mayweather thinks that no one, not even the Pacman, can defeat him in the ring.

Mayweather has had his glorious moments in the ring. He defeated the Golden Boy. He defeated Marquez. He defeated almost everybody in his weight class. He’s a five division champ and has not been defeated. He has not, however, tasted how strong a Pacman punch is or how fast that fist hits his face.

manny_pacquiaoAnd boxing promoter Bob Arum, Mayweather’s former promoter, thinks Floyd needs to. As for the Pacman, he also wants Mayweather’s head. For now, however, Arum and the Pacman need to wait. Mayweather does not want his head and face bashed like what Pacquiao did to Miguel Cotto.

Pacquiao is gunning for glory, not money. Mayweather, well, is gunning for money. He hides under his father’s boxing shorts. He uses his mouth to shield him from the powerful Pacman punch.

Boxing analyst Ivan Calderon however, thinks otherwise. Even Thomasz Adamek. They both think that Pacquiao’s quickness and strength is no match for Mayweather’s intelligence. Mayweather, they say, is an intelligent boxer.

Analysts say Pacquiao might not have the stamina to compete at 147 pounds, a division Mayweather Jr has dominated for years. Pacquiao however has proven that he’s the man to beat even at 147. He dominated Cotto. He demolished Hatton. And going to the distance with Cotto, fighting him toe-to-toe, showed the strength and stamina of the Pacman.

And if they think that the Pacman is not intelligent enough for Mayweather Jr., think again. In Pacman’s fight with Cotto, the Filipino champ deviated from the original fight plan and won. Pacquiao is already a master tactician in the ring. And Mayweather Sr. knows this. That’s why they are afraid that his son might get trapped and stung by the Pacman punch.

I say to Mayweather–forget the money, go after the glory. Fighting Pacquiao now will cement your place in boxing history. Think about it–no other welterweight has defeated the Pacman. After going in the ring with Pacman, they all retired.

The question really is—is Mayweather ready to retire? Let the Mouth do the defense.

Manny Pacquiao-Krista Ranillo secret tryst

Krista Ranillo

Krista Ranillo

Shortly after the ring victory of Manny Pacquiao against Miguel Cotto, the greatest fighter of all times was seen with sexy starlet Krista Ranillo. The video of the two love birds was uploaded and is now spreading like a virus over the net.

Ranillo was beside Manny at the party for the boxer. Curiously, Pacquiao’s wife Jinky was not present at the party. Sources say Jinky was beside herself inside her hotel room when she learned that Manny’s secret lover was there to share the victory with her.

Rumours of Pacquiao’s secret affair with Ranillo has been spreading like wildfire. Ranillo reportedly hitched with Pacquiao after their scorching kissing scene in their movie (the movie is Pacquiao’s entry at the Metro Manila Film Festival 2009).

manny_pacquiaoRanillo does not deny the affair. Pacquiao, meanwhile, has no comments. Jinky, Pacquiao’s wife, knows the affair. She even texted Kris Aquino.

Gina Alajar, noted Philippine actress, urged Jinky not to make a big fuss out of the affair. Alajar, in her Facebook shout-out, says Ranillo is “not worth the trouble.” Some years ago, Alajar and Ranillo were involved in a love triangle with Alajar’s former husband Michael de Mesa. Ranillo is being blamed for the split of one of local showbiz’s lovable couples.

Sources say Ranillo went with Pacquiao to the US, with Pacquiao spending some of his money for airfare and hotel expenses.

jinky pacquiaoRanillo was formerly the girlfriend of a GMA 7 director for more than ten years. Krista was previously rumoured to have been with some politicians.

Manny, in an Agence France Presse article, denies the rumoured affair although many PinoyObservers saw the couple kissing and hugging each other shortly after the Miguel Cotto-Pacquiao fight.

5 H1N1 suspected cases in Philippines

Posted by Ricky Rivera On May - 6 - 2009

The Philippine Department of Health (DOH) confirmed reports that at least five (5) suspected cases of people with Influenza A H1N1 are being observed right now in different hospitals in the country. Two of these cases are in Cebu. So far, the World Health Organization (WHO) reported a thousand suspected cases of H1N1 virus infected persons and about 30 fatalities–so far. One of those suspected of having the virus is reported to have improved.

Meanwhile, a legislator by the name of Senator Miguel Zubiri who just came from the States arrogantly defied the DOH rules on virus containment. Zubiri asked why he’s being asked to quarantine himself. He’s healthy. He must not undergone self-quarantine.

Zubiri and another senator, Bong Revilla, also disobeyed the DOH ruling on self-quarantine.

These legislators  are dumb, really, really, dumb. They just don’t get it.

How would we then expect ordinary citizens to follow government regulations when these senators show arrogance in power? These senators should act as our leaders. Makisama naman kayo! You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Well, what am I saying here? That I even expect these two nincoompoops to follow the law? I must be dreaming.

I must not castigate these two guys simply because it’s expected of them to act that way. They don’t know any better. Same goes to DENR secretary Lito Atienza who wants to push thru with the Pacquiao roadshow simply because he needs Pacman to boost his political chances. Talk about sacrificing the health of thousands of Filipinos just for a morale-boasting show.

Pooh!

Pacquiao Greatest Boxer of the World

Posted by Ricky Rivera On May - 4 - 2009

Pacquiao versus Hatton

Pacquiao versus Hatton

As predicted by this site, Filipino boxing sensation Manny Pacquiao scored a phenomenal knockout win over British brawler Ricky Hatton.

The end came in the last 10 seconds of the second round of a 12 round fight. Philippine Daily Inquirer described it as “short, swift and merciless”. Boxing analysts around the world called it ” the greatest fight of the 21st century”. Bob Arum, noted promoter hailed Pacquiao as the “greatest fighter of the world” for his demolition of Hatton.

Like Oscar dela Hoya, whom Hatton and his trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. called a “run of the hill” boxer after being caught by the Pacquiao sting, is intending to retire after being caught by Pacquiao himself. Hatton was rushed to the hospital immediately after the referee called for a stoppage of the fight. In the video, Hatton had a hard time breathing after being caught by a stinging left from the Filipino boxer. Medics did first aid but it was not enough. It was not clear though if Hatton suffered a broken jaw.

The punch was so strong that it nearly broke Hatton’s jaw. It was also a precise punch since it landed right smack in the right face and jaw of the British brawler.

manny pacquiao versus ricky hatton

manny pacquiao versus ricky hatton

If you review the tape, you’ll notice that shortly after the opening of the first round, Pacquiao is simply too quick for Hatton. Pacquiao used every inch of the ring to his advantage. He danced ” like a butterfly and sting like a bee” to paraphrase the Great Boxing Legend Muhammad Ali. Hatton is simply too dumb and too traditional in his boxing style that he can’t keep up with the Filipino boxer.

And to think that Hatton, as what his handlers described him, is both a brawler and a tactical fighter. But, all of his skills disappeared the very second he engaged Pacquiao. Boxing fans thought that the fight would last until the sixth round but Pacquiao unleashed his bombs early that’s why Hatton was stung very early.

Also, if you look at Hatton’s physique, he’s a tad shorter and leaner than Pacquiao. Pacquiao is a killing machine and no one can stop him at this point. Not even, I think, the braggard Floyd Mayweather Jr. who said that the Pacman is a nobody. Mayweather Sr. trained Hatton for the Pacquiao and even in the Oscar dela Hoya fight and twice, lost to Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach Jr.

So, what now for Pacquiao? Will it be retirement or politics? In a CNN Asia interview, Pacquiao intimated his desire to enter politics. The first time he did that, he lost to the charming Darlene Antonino-Custodio. Will Pacquiao win this time? Your guess is as good as mine.
